What Happened To The 64,000 Missing Women?

64,000 Missing Women in America All Have One Important Thing in Common
More than 64,000 black women remain missing across the United States as of today.
Feb. 09,2016
Dr. Aggrey said, “If you educate a woman, you educate a nation but if you educate a man, you educate an individual.” This outlines the vital role women play in nation building. There are several women disappearing in the air every day in all the provinces of America, of which we do not hear their whereabouts.

Report says, in 2012 the total number of black women who disappeared in America totaled to 12.85% out of 34% of all missing persons. According to the Black And Missing Foundation, most women disappear in the states of New York, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland and Florida.

This is heartbreaking and uncomfortable situation and due to this, the foundation has teamed up with a TV network to make a series, Find Our Missing, telling the stories behind the women’s disappearances.

Behind the hundreds of cases are painful details sketched out by families, left wondering what has become of their loved ones. Many women have been missing for decades.

This has posed great fear and threat, hence making life unbearable and unhealthy for them in America.

Among the missing is Phoenix Coldon, 23, of St Louis, Missouri, on December 18 while Stacey English, 36, vanished in Atlanta, Georgia on Christmas Day

Tia Norfleet: The Only African American Woman In Nascar

Norfleet is pushing through all negativity in order to win the race of a lifetime and make history while doing so.

Here are some fun facts about the fearless race car driver:
Born Shauntia Latrice Norfleet
May 1, 1986 in
Suffolk, Virginia, United States
is the daughter of NASCAR driver Bobby Norfleet.

Norfleet’s interest in racing began at the age of 7, when her father, NASCAR driver Bobby Norfleet, doubled the battery power of a Hot Wheels Barbie car to increase its speed. Norfleet’s racing career began at age 14, when she began competing in kart racing events; she went on to a successful career in drag racing at the local and regional level, where she won 37 of 52 events she competed in.

In 2000 Norfleet switched to entry level spec racing competing in Bandolero cars, then moving to late model stock car racing on short tracks starting with the 2004 racing season; she became the first female African-American driver to acquire a NASCAR Late Model Series racing license.

Norfleet competed in local late model events at tracks near her Augusta, Georgia home, starting her Late Model career in 2004. She planned to compete in NASCAR national touring series competition starting in the summer of 2012, and is operating a grassroots funding initiative to finance her racing career; however she did not make it to the track in a major series in 2012.
