Tomi Lahren Vs Beyonce’s Superbowl 50 Performance

Beyonce’s Superbowl halftime performance seems to have ruffled a few feathers the wrong way.

Everyday since the performance that showed Bey’s pride for her heritage, politicians, news anchors and many others are taking to the media to show Just how outraged they are.
Who knew, paying homage to your ancestors would cause such an uproar? Honestly, I have no idea, what the problem is and why everyone is so angry. Tomi Lahren verbally attacked Jay Z and Beyonce about some Bad choices he made probably 20 years ago. Let it go lady, he’s a business man now and never disrespected you or anyone else.
As adults we should be able to agree to disagree without bashing the next person.

Matt Damon Supports Diversity Protest In Hollywood

PARK CITY, Utah (AP) — Matt Damon says the movie business has “a long, long, long way to go” when it comes to diversity.

Hollywood must do “much, much, much more” to reflect the audiences who watch movies, the best actor nominee told The Associated Press on Saturday.

“We’re talking about huge systemic injustices around race and gender that are a lot bigger than the Oscars,” Damon said. “They’re massive issues in our industry and in our country.”

Diversity has dominated the conversation around the Academy Awards since last week’s nominations revealed a second consecutive year of all-white acting nominees. On Friday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced sweeping changes that include doubling its female and minority members by 2020.

Damon said the move is “a wonderful first step.”

“But that’s what it is,” he said. “A first step.”

We are happy that other non black A-list stars are able to see the favoritism that Hollywood has been doing for far too long. If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything. Way to go Matt!

Has Tila Tequila Gone Broke?

img_20160124_212613.jpg

Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen, better known by her stage names Tila Tequila, Tila Nguyen and Miss Tila, was once a model, television personality, singer, songwriter, actress, writer and blogger. She first gained Her Celebrity status for her active presence on social networking websites. After becoming the most popular person on Myspace, Tequila was offered to star in her own reality television show. Her bisexual-themed dating show, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila (2007), lastedfor two seasons and became MTV’s second highest-rated series premiere of that year.

The Houston, Texas native,  moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to pursue a modeling career. After being featured in numerous men’s magazines (including Playboy, Stuff and Maxim), she made her reality television debut on the VH1 show Surviving Nugent (2003).

Well, sometimes good things must come to an end as we recently discovered, Tila applied for a employment at Target, the retail store. If she have ran through all of her reality coins already, then that would explain everything.

Hopefully she lands the job!

Come Again? Julie Delpy: “I Sometimes Wish I Were African American…”

It looks as if frustration over Hollywood’s diversity debate erupted over at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday, as actress/writer, Julie Delpy expressed that she felt muzzled by the industry and added that there’s “nothing worse than being a woman in this business.”

Delpy, who was Oscar-nominated as a writer both for “Before Midnight” and “Before Sunset,” said that she said she has raised awareness over the issue of how few women were members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and was shut down.

“Two years ago, I said something about the Academy being very white male, which is the reality, and I was slashed to pieces by the media,” she told TheWrap’s Jeff Sneider. ”

It’s funny — women can’t talk. I sometimes wish I were African American because people don’t bash them afterward.”
I’m just lost all the way around with this statement. How does her dilemma compare to the mistreatment of African Americans? People these days just seem to have no filter. The racial hatred, slavery and unjustified killings of black people is not to be taken lightly or compared with such foolishness. No ma’am Ms. Delpy, you can’t possibly wish such suffering. This idiotic quote may be a publicity stunt in order to bring more awareness to your beliefs but we are not pawns in your chest game and you should tread light from now on. This sort of silly behavior is one of the many reasons why this nation has and is so divided. No values or respect for other cultures!
For that unacceptable stunt, Julie, you are no doubt, the weakest link!!!

  –  When Leonardo DiCaprio accepted his Golden Globe Award for Best Actor on January 10, he dedicated his award to the often ignored indigenous communities around the world. “And lastly, I want to share award with all the First Nations people represented in this film and all the indigenous communities around the world,” he said. “It is time that we recognize your history and that we protect your indigenous lands from corporate interests and people that are out there to exploit them. It is time that we heard your voice and protected this planet for future generations.” More than a week later, he has once again brought attention to indigenous communities. This week, it was revealed that DiCaprio donated $15 million for environmental projects, $3.4 million of which will go to the indigenous groups in the Ecuadorian Amazon who have been affected by petroleum extraction, according to El Universo. The money will specifically help the Cofanes, Secoyas, Sionas, and Huaoranis. The rest of the money will go to monitoring commercial fishing in Oceania, conservation of coral reefs in the Seychelles, promoting renewable energy in the United States, and protecting the rainforest from palmoil deforestation. “The destruction of our planet continues at a pace we can no longer afford to ignore,” DiCaprio said in a statement, People reports. “We have a responsibility to innovate a future where the habitability of our planet does not come at the expense of those who inhabit it. I am proud to support these organizations who are working to solve humankind’s greatest challenge.”
