It seems as if rap star Nicki Minaj can’t catch a break these days because once again she is being targeted by Angolan human rights activist for her upcoming Christmas performance set in West Africa. This statement was directed towards Minaj in regards to the outrage:
“Ms. Minaj, you are well known for being involved with charities such as the Get Schooled Foundation, which helps motivate young people to graduate from high school and succeed in college. If you move forward with this performance for the dictator (President Jose Eduardo dos Santos) and his family, you will be in league with the people stealing educational resources and opportunity from young Angolans,” said, Thor Halvorssen, head of the Human Rights Foundation.
It does feel a bit contradictory in the sense of supporting education charities on one hand and on the other hand, teaming up with the ones who apparently has no respect for education.
Organizations are gunning for Nicki maybe a bit more often than usual. Ever since she split up with ex fiance Safaree Samuels, karma follows her every move. Safaree explains that he was brokenhearted and walked all over by the beauty after a 15 year relationship. We guess it’s all in the making.
